House warming party in Kipling for One Red Paperclip’s Kyle

Saskatchewan’s newest famous blogger, Kyle of Oneredpaperclip.com, is moving in to his new house on Main St. of Kipling, south east of Regina.

Saskboy, Soulfood, and a few other bloggers would like to meet Kyle on Labour Day weekend. I propose September 2nd Saturday in Kipling.
I’ll email Kyle this weekend, and see if he’s interested in doing anything with us as a “Saskblogger”. Amanda’s offered to bring some hamburgers, and this time her car won’t break down.

Kyle responded and says there will be few accommodations in the town, best bring a tent if staying overnight. There should be “thousands of people” over the weekend in Kipling. I’ll contact Bert Roach of the town, who is coordinating events or will have more information along with the http://www.oneredpaperclip site. Perhaps some Saskbloggers can act as volunteers for the event, if they are looking for some kind of help down there.

Kyle has posted details for the day. Seems adults pay $20 for the weekend of events in the town.

Mrs. Roach replied to my questions about Saturday too:
Thanks for your email! We have lots of activities
going on, on the weekend. Here is a website where you
can check out some of the activities.
http://www.saskatchewfun.blogspot.com We would love to have
all of you make the trip out. Live bands will be
playing on main street Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
Saturday night in the beer gardens Butterfinger will
be playing from 9:30 until 1am. Also on Saturday
auditions will be held from 9am until 1pm for the
movie roll if you are interested in that.

Thanks and we will see you in Kipling on Saturday!

Did anyone make it down for the weekend? I know Pilot Pilon was looking to perform there.
