Bloggers will be getting together again on February 8th at 1:00PM to chit chat and experience the great food available at the Thieinvien restaurant just down the street from
Asian Taste Restaurant located at 101 3rd avenue north in Saskatoon. … email Saskboy, Huffb1, or Zach Bell if trouble leaving a comment…
2009 is almost upon us all, and there was some buzz at the last SaskBloggers gathering in Toon Town that there would be a February incarnation of the event. Look for something about that coming out soon so you can plan to attend.
SaskBlogs.ca in 2009 will likely see some changes, to see that the blogroll is updated frequently, and it’s easier to read content from Saskatchewan’s many bloggers.
Saturday was the 3rd Annual SaskBloggers get together in Saskatoon. The turnout was pretty good with 7 bloggers and 2 guests in attendance. I think we made more noise laughing than kids getting ice cream in the restaurant.
Saskboy (me), Lore_Weaver (whose blog has been spammed into malfunctioning), Jadon, Twyla, Tanya, Zach Bell, and Huffb1 came out to talk politics, pollution, technology, car sharing, blogs, and more.
There’s talk of a Winter Saskatoon get together in February 2009, at an Asian food location in the afternoon. Location and date will be announced on saskblogs.ca soon I hope.
Here it is fellow Sask Bloggers, 12:00 noon October 18, 2008 Saturday at Jerry’s Food Emporium just off 8th and Grosvenor. Hope to see you there!
Huffb1 and Saskboy have organized the next SaskBlogs gathering for Saskatoon. This will be the 3rd year of SaskBlogs events in the City of Bridges. We already have 5 bloggers confirmed as being able to attend Saturday October 18, 2008, and we hope to add many more for this indoor gathering at Jerry’s. If you’re interested in attending, please leave a comment or send one of us an email.
Just a quick reminder that the BBQ is today, Sunday July 27 at 12:00 in the park just west of the Science Center parking lot. We’ll be the tables with the bloggers, but you probably won’t see laptops in front of us.
Here is the turn out. It was a small group this year, but we had a good time in the perfect weather with good food. Net Neutrality was one thing we talked about, among many other non-blog related topics of course.
OK, Sask Bloggers, 12:00 noon July 27, 2008 Sunday in Regina’s Goose Hill Park west of the Science Center is the site of our 3rd annual potluck BBQ!
Come out with yourself and some friends/family for a good time with some good food, and good company.
Did I mention that the Riders play Toronto at 5:00 that evening, so you could make our event your pre-game party?
If you’re coming, please leave a comment with what item(s) you’re thinking of bringing. I have plenty of disposable plates left over from last year (You can bring your own reusable ones if you prefer), and I can bring coals again to have the BBQ roaring by noon. I’ll also provide some meat and meat-like products (ie. hotdogs).
Stephen upgraded our site Monday, so things should start working better shortly, and we’ll get the theme tidied up with the list of bloggers.
UPDATE: The Blogroll as designed by Lance is up on the sidebar, for your convenience.
I’m at the Park Cafe with 3 other Saskatchewan bloggers. This is the first opportunity I’ve had to post a blog entry at a blogger party. My XO laptop is the first laptop to even make an appearance at these events!
Huffb1 and Saskboy are organizing a short-notice gathering for bloggers on Saturday April 12th in Saskatoon. We meet at 12:00PM at the Park Cafe on 515 20th St. W. near Ave. E S.
Stay tuned for any further details before Saturday…
Rick, a blogger from Toronto asked SaskBlogs.ca to spread the word of his event in the city here.
My name is Rick Segal I’m a Venture Capitalist from Toronto. I’ve set up a VC roundtable for Regina and I’m trying to get the word out. It’s free and it is designed to let the tech/start up world across Canada know more about investment opportunities.
My blog: http://ricksegal.typepad.com/pmv/2008/03/vc-roundtable-1.html will have all the details.
If you’d mention this event on your Saskblogs.ca, I’d appreciate it.
Thanks in advance,
